1. General

1.1. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the ECU tuning file services provided by Hantstuning.co.uk (“we”, “our”, “us”).

1.2. By registering an account, purchasing credits, or submitting a file request, you (“the customer”, “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1.3. Our services are strictly for professional use only. Professional use means use by trained individuals or businesses with appropriate tools, technical knowledge, and responsibility for vehicle modifications.

2. Credits & Payments

• 2.1. All services operate on a credit-based system.
• 2.2. Credit prices are displayed on the website and may be changed at any time without prior notice.
• 2.3. Credits must be purchased in advance and added to your account before submitting any file.
• 2.4. All payments for credits are final and non-refundable.
• 2.5. Credits cannot be transferred, shared, or resold between accounts.

3. File Uploads & Processing

• 3.1. Customers are solely responsible for uploading the correct original ECU file and selecting the correct tuning service.
• 3.2. Once a file has been processed by an engineer, the required credits will be deducted automatically.
• 3.3. Incorrect or corrupted uploads may still be charged if processing has begun.
• 3.4. Each file request is treated as a separate service and charged individually.
• 3.5. Processing times are estimates only and may vary due to workload, file complexity, or technical factors.

4. Warranty & Revisions

• 4.1. Each tuned file includes a 7-day warranty period starting from the date of delivery.
• 4.2. Minor revisions and adjustments are provided free of charge during the warranty period.
• 4.3. Requests outside the warranty period require a new file request and additional credits.
• 4.4. ECU resets, software updates, or hardware replacements require a new file request.

5. Refund Policy

• 5.1. Due to the digital nature of the service, all sales are final.
• 5.2. Credits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
• 5.3. If a file cannot be provided or is faulty and cannot be resolved, credits may be refunded to the customer’s account balance at our sole discretion.
• 5.4. In exceptional cases where a monetary refund is approved, a non-refundable 10% processing and administrative fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.

6. Liability & Usage Disclaimer

• 6.1. All tuning files are supplied “as is” without warranties of any kind.
• 6.2. Files are supplied for off-road, motorsport, testing, or closed-course use only.
• 6.3. Use of tuned files on public roads may violate local laws and is the sole responsibility of the customer.
• 6.4. Hantstuning.co.uk shall not be held liable for engine damage, ECU damage, emissions non-compliance, warranty voidance, vehicle failure, or safety issues.

7. Customer Responsibilities

• 7.1. Customers must use correct tools, procedures, and equipment when reading or writing ECU files.
• 7.2. Customers must back up all original ECU data before applying any modifications.
• 7.3. Customers are responsible for informing their end-clients of all risks associated with ECU tuning.
• 7.4. We reserve the right to refuse service for suspicious, corrupted, or unrelated files.

8. Account & Abuse

• 8.1. Each account is individual and must not be shared with third parties.
• 8.2. Any abuse, fraud, or payment chargeback will be treated as fraudulent activity and may result in immediate suspension or permanent account termination.
• 8.3. Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

9. Service Availability

• 9.1. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service.
• 9.2. Maintenance, downtime, system updates, or technical failures do not create liability or entitlement to refunds.

10. Data & File Retention

• 10.1. Uploaded files may be stored temporarily for support, warranty, and quality-control purposes.
• 10.2. Files may be deleted automatically without notice after this period.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

• 11.1. These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
• 11.2. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
